Assalam o Alaikum,
Well, I thought it’s time to say a few words right from my heart to my NEPRA Family.
Let me begin with my prayers and the best wishes for all NEPRA employees who have been diagnosed with Covid-19. May Allah bless you all with full recovery so that you may resume your normal lives soon. May Allah bless us all with His mercy and protection.
Let me also use the opportunity to thank my Authority Members, HODs, and all employees who have constantly been delivering in these difficult times. My special thanks to Admin and HR Department who have been working exceptionally hard to keep NEPRA employees safe during this pandemic.
My dear family, it is imperative that in these testing times, we stay strong, positive, and most importantly together. We all have witnessed Covid-19 emerging and spreading all over the world as a global pandemic and bringing even developed countries to their knees in no time. So the bottom-line is that it’s a harsh reality and a new ‘normal’ that we all have to accept and learn to live with it.
While reflecting on this situation during the last Ashrah of Ramadan, we pretty much envisaged this recent spike in Covid-19 cases post Eid holidays, and that’s why special SOPs were created very much in time.
We have noticed that few employees despite having visited their hometowns during Eid Holidays are still adamant on getting tested for Covid-19 despite totally free medical services. My message for all such employees is that these precautions are for your own safety and benefit. In this time of crisis all of us should act responsibly to combat spread of Corona Virus within offices as well as our homes.
Let me be very clear, safety of employees and their families is our top priority and we won’t budge from discharging our duties at any cost. We assure you that NEPRA is fully prepared to combat this situation and all I demand is your full cooperation to fight it out, together.
As Pakistanis, we are an extremely resilient nation and Insha Allah we will overcome this challenge, together. Let’s make a solemn pledge to ourselves, our families, and our God, that we will act responsibly and follow social distancing protocols in our professional and personal conducts. Moreover, we will fully support every initiative at organizational level to stop the spread of this deadly virus.
Stay Safe and Blessed!
Allah Hum Sab Ka Hami O Nasir Ho.
